Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - A hodge-podge of dated material
When this book first came out, though disorganized and overpriced, I thought it one of the Dietels' better efforts since it showed genuine enthusiasm for the subject and a sampling of all of the technologies involved in E-Business programming. But now, it is just a hodge-podge of outdated information that does not give enough detail to be helpful. Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - disappointing
A collection of tons of information! Too bad it is put together in such a poor organizational fashion. Difficult to follow from start to finish.

Also, I'm not sure what the deal is with "Shiny" pages, but this text is printed on pages that are so shiny that reading it was a challenge. I had to hold it at just the right angle to prevent intrusive glare.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Very Resourceful...
This book is very resourcefull. It shows you various web scripting languages, provides examples and sample questions. If you are not familiar with scripting language this can be a starting point for you.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - skips needed information
The book wastes your time talking about what is on the Internet (and what the Internet is - hello, the year is 2005!) instead of teaching you how to program for it. It is not a programming book but an extensive advertisement for off-the-shelf programs and various websites. The CD does not contain the information indicated in the book, nor does the website. I attempted to contact them about this, but received no answer. I have enjoyed other Dietel books, but this one really falls short of their ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Outdated
The CDs that come with this book don't work with Windows XP or other modern operating systems. The content is outdated and the book should be removed from the shelves!
