Product DescriptionTHERE REALLY IS MORE TO THIS LIFE THAN YOU'VE BEEN TOLD

We've been demanding our way since day one...

'I want a spouse that makes me happy and co-workers that always ask my opinion.'

'I want weather that suits me and traffic that helps me and a government that serves me.'

Self-promotion. Self-preservation. Self-centeredness...

'IT'S ALL ABOUT ME.'

They all told us it was, didn't they? And we took them up on it. We though self-celebration would make us happy...

But believing that has created chaos-noisy homes, stress-filled business, cutthroat relationships. We've chases do many skinny rabbits, says Max Lucado, that we've missed the fat one: the God-centered life.

If you want to shift into high gear with purpose, this is it: Life makes sense when we accept our place! Our pleasures, our problems, our gifts and talents...when they're all for the One who created us, we suddenly gain what we've been missing and find out what we've been seeking.

Let Max Lucado show you how to make the shift of a lifetime. How to bump your life off self-center. How to be changed and experience the meaning-charged life you were meant to have. Your discovery starts here.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Read Max Lucado's book
My husband and I have read Max Lucado's book, It's Not About Me very recently. As always, Max has a way of capturing and holding my attention. I am always amazed, we have read several of his books, with the nearly unique, up to date vocabulary he uses to place the truths of the Bible in today's setting. I highly recommend this book.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It's All About GOD!
"It's Not About Me" is a title with a simple purpose: to realize that life does not revolve around us. Instead, we are remember that God is our Maker and He has the right to do what He wants and we are to submit to His agenda for our lives.

Some of the important points include:

1. Our struggles can be used for God's glory.
2. Our bodies belong to God and we should not abuse them.
3. Our salvation depends on His grace instead of our self-effort.
4. ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Re-program your life
Here's a simple, sensible, and sound plan for re-programming your life. We've long acted as if our self-interest should shape our every decision. In this compelling missive, Max Lucado suggests, that is much like the flea in the elephant's ear taking pride and claiming credit for rattling the footbridge they just crossed. Following the clear message at the core of this book will lead to peace above all, and in all likelihood, to unimagined joy, an integrated and congruent life, and often, prosperity ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - nice reminder
this book is uplifting, and a nice reminder just who is in charge of our lives. it really is not about me, God is the center of all the choices I make and the reason I honor Him every day through my actions and words.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Inappropriate Joking, Shallow, My First Max Lucado Book Will Be My Last
Somehow, I've managed to be a Christian for over a decade without ever reading a book by Max Lucado, though of course, I'm quite familiar with his name. I picked up this book because the subject matter sounded good. Unfortunately, Mr. Lucado's writing, which was full of jokes, often inappropriate, as well as his quoting of The Message Bible (which is not at all faithful to the Word of God), soon turned me away. In addition, he seemed to say the same thing a thousand times and to just be padding the ... Read More
