'Worldwide factory server revenue grew by 5.5% to $48.7 billion for 2004, its second year of positive growth,' said Kelly Quinn, senior analyst with IDC's Enterprise Computing Group. 'Strongest growth for the year was in the x86, or volume server, segment, a subset of the overall market which grew by 17.6% year over year.'
