Rating: - Speaks to the heart
If you've never read a Max Lucado book with your child or grandchild, this is a great one to start with. You won't be able to stop with just one, however. This particular book speaks to the heart of what every child goes throught: I am better than everyone else or I am below everyone else. Max beautifully illustrates how our Maker intends for us all to work together and be on the same level together. Working together. The illustrations are magnificent. Go on, you know you want to be closer to the ... Read More

Rating: - No better lesson for your kids
The lessons and messages taught in these Lucado books through Punchinello and his friends are very effective. If you want children with great self esteem, high confidence, ability to choose the right path, not afraid to say 'no' to peer pressure, always treat others with respect, leaders amongst their friends, far less troubles than other kids....then you'll get all Lucado books like this and read them to your kids. The kids love the stories, and I bet there's even a message parents will get as well. ... Read More

I recommend his books to anyone with children of their own or to an educator who wants to fully enthrall his/her students ... Read More

The students at my (elementary) school love Max Lucado's books and this is one of their favorites. It is a message that is told over and over again - everyone is different, everyone is special. But Mr. Lucado tells this story in a new way, simply and beautifully. As a teacher, I can't recommend it enough. As an adult, I appreciate the message. As a kid who doesn't want to grow up, I just love the story and characters.
