Average Rating:
Rating: - very helpful
Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is there is little content on graphic creation. There is a chapter dedicated to it, but I was hoping for a little more. The chapter is very helpful though. As far as learning how to edit photos with Photoshop- it could not be more helpful- it covers everything! And the CD that comes with the book is incredibly helpful as well.
Rating: - Adobe InDesign CS3 "illustrated"
Deke McClelland has provided much needed details on "how to" that Adobe does not. The book's illustrations are very clearly explained, concise and the examples are great. This book is the answer to anyone's questions about InDesign. It is well worth the money and the illustrated DVD is an added bonus plus. I would recommend this book to anyone just starting out learning InDesign.
Rating: - Essential Tutorial
A very effective tutorial for learning a complex system, Adobe Photoshop CS3. Thorough and easy to follow exercises--learn by doing.
Rating: - Everything you need to know aboutg CS3 -- and more.
Deke has long been the #1 Photoshop guru in the world, and I've depending on his sage advice to introduce me to each new version as they are introduced. This one is especially good at showing you how to manage color, which has always been one of my weaknesses. Highly recommended.
Rating: - CS3 one-on-one, A-one!!!
I have bought about ten CS3 help books, most are good, this is the best. I don't think Deke has missed anything, and I use this as a handy reference. I don't think you will be disappointed here.
