Books Beginning XML (Programmer to Programmer)

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Riddled With Errors
Was this book written in a day? Syntax errors, spelling errors, and general misinformation abound. Perhaps the author intended readers to learn XML by debugging his examples?

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good Book but too large
This a very good for the beginners , however , I think the whole material can be a lot compacted and the book can be of 300-400 pages instead of 800 pages and would have given the same information.Any way it atleast worth one reading for the guys who have just started learning xml.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A Great Beginning Book for the XML Novice
One thing to remember about this book before you buy: It is a "Beginning XML Book," NOT a "Beginner" book. You are going to need some knowledge of data management, file management, and web page development to understand the groundwork for XML development.

However, if you do have basic ASP, SQL, and HTML skills like I do, then this book is a great start if you want to add XML to your skillset.

As with all Wrox books published over the last two years, this book is well-structured, well-written, and well-indexed. It will teach you more than you need to know for XML basics, and you can use the book as a reference down the road.

I waited for this book to come out all summer, and it was well worth the price and time I put into it. Good job, Wrox!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great place to start with XML
I think this book and Step by Step XML are the 2 best books for starting off with XML. I have bought or read many if not most of the XML books that are the most popular. Hint: dont start with XML for dummies, buy this book and Step by Step XML, you will be glad you did.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Excellent Introduction to XML and related technologies
This is a good introductory book on XML. Covers basics as the name implies and also covers ground level details on the related technologies like XSL, XPath, XML Schema, etc.
